Guild Wars 2: “Code of Creation” Drops September 15
The Visions of Eternity saga ends next week.
On September 15, Guild Wars 2 releases “Code of Creation,” the final chapter of the expansion. Players will head into the depths of Castora’s Leyspring Hollows to stop Vloxx and a now-unhinged Kuda across six new story chapters.
Meta-event changes: The new “Depths of Cruelty” meta runs on a three-hour cycle (instead of two) to avoid clashing with other events. Maps will stay open for an hour after completion before resetting.
New Convergence: “Nexus of Eternity” is a single, multi-phase encounter instead of a boss rotation. Essence gathering now rewards a profession-based power boost at max stacks—but you’ve got to push to the limit to get it.
Raid & Fractal: The Nexus is also getting a 10-player raid version, plus a new fractal called “Solitary Throne” for 5-player groups.
Challenge Modes for all three drop on September 29, with Legendary Mode for the raid arriving October 13.
What else is on the roadmap:
- Dismount Rush event (Sept 29 – Oct 6) – bonus rewards for ditching mounts in old content.
- Shadow of the Mad King (Oct 13 – Nov 3).
- Fractal Incursion, WvW new map beta, and Extra Life events in November.
- Wintersday in December.
- And the first Hall of Monuments update kicks off later this year—letting players earn rewards for Guild Wars 3.
Big fall ahead. Mark the 15th.
