Earlier this month, Wowhead reported that NetEase who handles World of Warcraft in partnership with Blizzard in China was investigating players and guilds that were cheating their way into the Hall of Fame.

These players were suspected of boosting their way into the Hall of Fame. Guilds who are among the first 100 on their faction to complete a raid, this time Castle Nathria, enter the Hall Of Fame.

NetEase have now confirmed that they have removed 16 guilds from the Hall of Fame and other non-cheating guilds have taken their place.
