Final Fantasy XIV Addresses Issues of Unfair Play and Illicit Actions in The Omega Protocol (Ultimate)

Naoki Yoshida, the Producer and Director of FINAL FANTASY XIV, has announced that the company has identified instances of unfair play within the game’s community. Yoshida stated that the company is aware of information regarding the use of third-party tools within The Omega Protocol (Ultimate) and is conducting an investigation into the matter. In the event that the company confirms the use of third-party tools, it will enact penalties such as temporary account suspension or permanent account bans.

Yoshida made it clear that the terms of service for FINAL FANTASY XIV state that the use of third-party tools is strictly prohibited and will continue to be so unless announced otherwise. He also expressed disappointment regarding the commotion surrounding third-party tools and stated that it is his responsibility to enforce measures to prevent their use and educate players to not use them.

In addition to the investigation into third-party tool usage, Yoshida also announced that the company is investigating the illicit publicizing of a post-clear cutscene and the spread of illicit videos. The company has taken countermeasures against these actions and will continue to investigate them. Those found to be involved in these incidents will face firm punishment.

In conclusion, Yoshida apologized for the actions that have put a damper on everyone’s enjoyment of the game and stated that he will continue to work to strengthen prevention measures.
