Square Enix has announced a special Free Login Campaign for its popular MMORPG, Final Fantasy XIV, aimed at inviting former players back to the game. The campaign is set to run from Thursday, February 1, 2024, starting at midnight, until Wednesday, February 21, 2024, ending at 6:59 a.m. (PST). This initiative gives those who have previously purchased and registered the game an opportunity to explore Eorzea once again without the need for a subscription for a limited time.
To be eligible for the Free Login Campaign, participants must have an inactive service account that has been dormant for at least thirty days prior to the campaign period. Upon logging in with their Square Enix ID and password, players will immediately begin their free play period, which lasts for four days, including the day of the first login. This period is designed to allow former players to catch up on new content, reunite with fellow adventurers, and re-experience the vast world of Final Fantasy XIV.
For those needing to reinstall the game, official client software is available for Windows® and Mac. Additionally, the PlayStation®5 and PlayStation®4 versions can be obtained from the PlayStation™Store, and the Steam version is accessible through the Steam library for those who prefer playing on a PC platform.
The campaign offers a unique chance for lapsed players to reengage with the game, offering a glimpse into the latest expansions, quests, and features added since their last visit. However, it’s important to note that the free login period will expire after four days from the initial login, regardless of how much time is spent in-game during this window. Players with multiple service accounts should be aware that the offer is valid for the first account logged into, with certain restrictions in place for accounts with active subscriptions or those suspended due to service agreement violations.
Square Enix also reminds participants that server maintenance may occur during the campaign, which could temporarily affect access to the game.
