Final Fantasy XIV’s 6.18 Update is Live – Data Center Travel System is Back Up After Initial Issues

Square Enix has announced that the Final Fantasy XIV 6.18 update is now live. The new update includes a data center travel system, which was taken offline earlier this week after experiencing some initial issues.

The system lets players travel to have adventures with fellow players on other data centers, but due to server congestion, the system was taken down after the patch was released.

The system is back up again now and players should now be able to move freely between data centers without issue. Travel might take up to 30 minutes during peak hours though.

In addition, the new update also includes a number of bug fixes and other changes including PvP rebalancing, the launch of Crystalline Combat season two, new Radiant Roborant vendors and Raid adjustments made to Pandaemonium: Asphodelos (Savage).
