Neverwinter Sets Its Sights on the Stars with “Adventures in Wildspace” Module

Cryptic Studios has unveiled “Adventures in Wildspace,” the latest module for the free-to-play Dungeons & Dragons MMORPG, Neverwinter, set to launch on April 23 for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms. This update continues the Spelljammer story arc, offering players an expanded exploration experience in Wildspace, directly inspired by the D&D Spelljammer: Adventures in Space book.

In “Adventures in Wildspace,” players will find themselves involved in the concluding part of the Spelljammer storyline. The narrative focuses on assisting the Xaryxian princess Xedalli to forge an alliance to counter threats to peace in the galaxy. This entails dealing with Vocath, a Mercane crime lord, and leveraging this alliance for a decisive battle against Prince Xeleth at the Xaryxian Citadel.

The module introduces several new features, including:

  • Expanded Adventure Zone: Additions to the Wildspace Adventure Zone feature new landing sites, two new systems with new planets, Vocath’s orbital base, and asteroid landing sites.
  • New Dungeon – The Imperial Citadel: This new dungeon provides a venue for the final confrontation against Prince Xeleth, with different difficulty tiers designed to accommodate various player groups, each offering distinct rewards.
  • Quality of Life Improvements: The update includes a variety of enhancements such as a new enchantment tier, reduced costs for upgrading mount collars, interface updates for easier navigation, and class mechanic adjustments to improve gameplay.
