Old School Runescape Introduces Araxxor in Latest Game Update

Old School Runescape has expanded its horizons with the introduction of a new Slayer boss, Araxxor, who made its menacing debut in the game today. Found in the Araxyte Nest between Slepe and Ver Sinhaza in Morytania, this formidable spider boss is now a target for those daring enough to venture into its lair.

To engage Araxxor, players require a Level 92 Slayer and must secure an Araxyte Slayer Task from either Nieve or Duradel. Preparation is key, and adventurers are advised to equip themselves with melee gear and runes for Vengeance, along with options for Ranged or Magic attacks. Additional essentials include Anti-venom Potions and a substantial amount of food to endure the battle ahead.

Araxxor stands out from other Slayer bosses by offering players the ability to influence the difficulty of the fight. The arena contains araxyte eggs that periodically spawn various minions. Players can choose to deal with these minions directly for quicker, albeit riskier, confrontations or destroy the eggs for a more measured and steady approach to the battle.

The rewards for conquering Araxxor are plentiful and varied, ranging from new cosmetics like the Araxxor Slayer Helmet—a visually intimidating upgrade to the regular Slayer Helmet—to practical items that enhance player experience. Among the unique rewards are a new pet, a Jar of Venom that can be displayed in Player Owned Houses, and an Araxyte Venom Sack that enhances anti-venom potions for longer-lasting effects.

New equipment from Araxxor includes the Noxious Halberd, a powerful weapon with venom-inflicting capabilities and a special attack that not only cures venom and poison but also increases the damage of the next attack. The Amulet of Rancour, which surpasses the Amulet of Torture, offers superior combat bonuses. Additionally, the introduction of Aranea Boots provides combat stats and a unique feature granting occasional immunity to spider webs, adding a strategic element to navigating certain areas.
