The Pantheon developers return with an Alpha Roadmap Progress Report last week. One of the big topics regarding Pantheon lately has been the High Definition Render Pipeline which has been used lately to work on the visuals and performance of vegetation in the game.
Classes and combat are also being tweaked and improved upon and get a short mention in the update. On the topic of combat, the Pantheon team also tested a new format of video on their channel this week called Fragments of Terminus, which as shorter updates than the ones we are used to. In the first Fragment, we get a small update on caster combat and why the devs have decided to remove critical damage on spells (see the video at the bottom of this post).
Next up we got an update on the work that has been done in terms of networking improvements for Pantheon using Unity, along with a look at textures and materials in the game, a short update on NPC logic, a slightly longer update on the pet system and finally a few words on what is happening at the moment with animations.
