Pantheon Shares Roadmap to Alpha, New Hire, and More in the September Newsletter

A misty forest scene with towering, twisted trees covered in vines and orange fungi. Sunlight filters through the canopy, illuminating patches of moss and rocky terrain. A mystical, ethereal atmosphere pervades the dense woodland.

Pantheon’s latest newsletter is out now, yet again with a wealth of information about the upcoming MMORPG which seems to be inching closer to an alpha release.

In a very important moment, Ben Dean clarified the expectations on Alpha. In a prior stream, Chris Rowan stated that if all were to go well, it was a hope to hit Alpha by the end of 2021. Ben reiterated that while that was true, a combination of funding, progress, and goals would have had to flow perfectly. Ben confirmed that Pantheon fans should not expect Alpha this year, to ensure clarity on this topic moving forward for the rest of 2021.

The letter also contains a detailed roadmap to alpha with information on what the team is working on, and has yet to do, and patch notes with recent changes implemented into the game.

The team also introduces Tim Schuhler, an environment artist with previous experience from ArenaNet and WayForward Technologies, who is currently hard at work on the Wild’s End zone.

Speaking of Wild’s End, the letter also contains a feature on the creatures you can find there, specifically in the Mad Moor, as well as the ending to the story “The Bait” which began in the last newsletter and an interview with community member Crowsinger.
