ArenaNet, the developer of Guild Wars 2, has released its latest Studio Update outlining what players can expect in the coming months. The update addresses questions from the community about the changes announced in February and includes an updated roadmap through the beginning of summer, as well as longer-term projects that extend beyond June.

One of the main topics addressed is how smaller expansions will affect development and support for the core game. ArenaNet assures players that it is increasing the size of the Guild Wars 2 development team, particularly in content and systems design. The team is also committed to long-term support for the community, which includes updating and improving existing systems.

The update also provides more details on upcoming content releases. On May 23, players can expect new story chapters and a new capstone encounter for the Gyala Delve meta-event, alongside new rewards and collections to pursue. The Dragon Bash festival returns on June 6, and a Cantha-themed fractal dungeon is scheduled for June 27. Additionally, there will be a profession balance update on both May 2 and June 27.

Looking beyond the summer, the update provides a high-level look at some of ArenaNet’s active initiatives, including a rework of an existing core game reward system and the introduction of alliances in World vs. World.

Overall, the Studio Update showcases ArenaNet’s commitment to the Guild Wars 2 community and its ongoing efforts to improve the game. Players can look forward to exciting new content releases and continued support for the core game in the months to come.
