Blizzard has been on the receiving end of DDoS (distributed denial-of-service) attacks resulting in disconnections in World of Warcraft.
[#Warcraft] We are currently experiencing a DDoS attack, which may result in high latency and disconnections for some players. We are actively working to mitigate this issue.

The attacks has since ended and all players should be able to log in again.
