The automatic housing demolition in Final Fantasy XIV, specifically for worlds in the Chaos and Light Data Centers, which was previously suspended in February 2023, is set to recommence on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, around 1:00 a.m. (PDT).
The automatic demolition counter, which keeps track of estates’ usage, may be reset for certain estates depending on the usage of housing during the period when the demolition was paused. If an estate hasn’t been built on a plot, the counter may be reset upon entering the estate once it has been constructed.
For players who have visited their estate at least once during the suspension period, the auto-demolition timer will be reset. This applies to both free company estates that have been visited by a leader or a member, and private estates that have been visited by the owner at least once. The count for days of inactivity for these estates will recommence on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, around 1:00 a.m. (PDT).
However, for players who have not entered their estate during the suspension period, the auto-demolition timer will continue from the time that was remaining as of Thursday, February 9, 2023, at 9:25 a.m. (PST).
Square Enix has planned to send an e-mail notification to players whose estates are prepared for auto-demolition within ten days of the scheduled maintenance. These players are strongly urged to log in and enter their housing before the automatic demolition timer resumes on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, around 1:00 a.m. (PDT).
The e-mail notification will be sent to the registered e-mail addresses of all free company estate owners and their free company members, as well as private estate owners.
Players who have not entered their estates for at least thirty days will see the status under the Estate tab of the Timers window indicating that the estate is being prepared for auto-demolition and displaying the number of days remaining. This status will disappear upon entering the estate.
The recommencement of automatic housing demolition is a crucial part of the game’s mechanics, keeping the virtual real estate market dynamic and ensuring active participation from players.
