Final Fantasy XIV has released Patch 6.31, introducing a host of new items and the fifth ultimate duty, the Omega Protocol (Ultimate). This high-end duty can only be accessed by registering the expansion packs for Final Fantasy XIV to a player’s service account and requires a party of eight players who have all completed the duty Abyssos: The Eighth Circle (Savage). The Omega Protocol (Ultimate) also has a level requirement of 90 for both Disciples of War and Magic, a time limit of 120 minutes, and a weekly completion reward which can be exchanged for ultimate Omega weapons.
The patch also resolved several issues such as an issue during the extreme trial implemented in Patch 6.3 where player casting was interrupted by certain enemy actions, and an issue during the raid dungeon Alphascape V4.0 (Savage) where the areas of effect for boss actions Diffuse Wave Cannon and Oversampled Wave Cannon did not display in full.
Achievements, titles and new music have also been added and for better login, one-time passwords will no longer be hidden during entry.
