Fractured Online is Being Published by Gamigo

Over the last few weeks, Gamigo has been giving out hints regarding a new mystery MMO, and after some speculation, the community was pretty certain the game in question was Dynamight Studios’ Fractured. A website called UncertainFolder.com was even launched containing all the hints and a countdown that ended just a few hours ago, and it turned out the community was right. Uncertain Folder is even an anagram for Fractured Online.

The isometric sandbox MMO was first funded through Kickstarter back in 2018, but according to Jacopo Pietro Gallelli, the CEO of Dynamight Studios, they had been in talks with Gamigo since back in 2017 when the game was still just an idea.

Gamigo has since helped provide feedback on Fractured’s playtests, but Dynamight and Gamigo didn’t start discussing a publishing deal until the spring of 2021.

Because of the deal, the Fractured team will expand to nearly double the size from 7-8 developers to a team of 15. This will enable Dynamight to push for a 2022 release (hopefully).

Several concerns were voiced in the Fractured community but Gallelli says that the business model for the game will not change. It will remain a buy-to-play game with no pay-to-win featured. Only an optional subscription and an in-game store with cosmetics.
