Jagex Has Been Sold Again, or Has It?

Jagex, the studio behind Runescape has reportedly been sold to the Carlyle Group.

In 2016 ownership of Jagex moved to a Chinese mining company, then again in 2019 to a holding company called Macarthur Fortune Holding LLC.

Today it was announced that The Carlyle Group has purchased Jagex, but according to MMO Fallout a lawsuit has been filed against Jagex and its owners.

Plutos Sama Holdings, Inc. claims that it owns Jagex after winning the company in an auction back in 2019.
