Cryptic Studios and Perfect World Entertainment have announced Neverwinter: Northdark Reaches, the latest free module for the popular Dungeons & Dragons MMORPG. The module is set in the city of Neverwinter and is written by New York Times bestselling author R.A. Salvatore. Players will explore Neverwinter’s underbelly as they try to stop a drow plot that could have disastrous consequences for the city above.
Neverwinter: Northdark Reaches, the upcoming module developed in collaboration with RA Salvatore and Geno Salvatore, will explore the events that take place between Starlight Enclave and Glacier’s Edge, the first two books in RA Salvatore’s The Way of the Drow trilogy. Heroes brave enough to answer King Bruenor’s call for aid will be amongst the first to discover a whole new region of the Underdark, an intriguing place where mounting tensions between key factions set the stage for things to yet to come.
In addition to a new storyline, Neverwinter’s 24th module will include a revamped Temple of the Spider Queen Dungeon, Quality of Life improvements, and a reworked inventory system.
The update will be live on both console and PC on November 8th.
