Today marks the annual celebration of Superman Day, commemorating the debut of Superman in Action Comics. DC Universe Online is observing the day with a series of themed events, including the introduction of the Sunstone Fortress Base.
The celebration features a Superman Playlist in the game, which rotates daily and includes themed Solo/Duos, Alerts, and Raids. On these special days, bosses within these activities will offer double Source Marks when featured.
In addition to the gameplay activities, players can complete new Daily Missions tied to the Superman Playlist to receive a Superman Reward Cache. These caches contain various Superman-themed items.
A highlight of the event is the release of the Sunstone Fortress Lair, a new base that replicates Superman’s Fortress of Solitude. This is the first time the base includes an explorable outdoor area. The Sunstone Fortress Base Bundle, costing 2000 Daybreak cash, includes a base theme, a decor pack, and Kryptonian Back-Up/Henchmen uplink devices.
For those interested in further customizing their space, the Sunstone Fortress Decor Pack Bundle is available for 500 Daybreak cash, offering various decorative items like Sunstone Thrones, Lamps, Chandeliers, and Kryptonian statues.
The celebrations continue beyond today, with DC Universe Online planning to release free Superman Day player gift poster sets next week.
