Blizzard Entertainment has announced that the closed beta for Cataclysm Classic is now live. This presents an opportunity for players to participate in the beta phase of World of Warcraft: Cataclysm Classic before its official release later in 2024.
Cataclysm Classic reintroduces players to a significantly altered Azeroth, following the catastrophic events triggered by Deathwing the Destroyer. This expansion invites players to explore and defend a world that has been reshaped by monumental geological and elemental changes.
The beta version includes several quality-of-life improvements aimed at enhancing the overall gameplay experience. These improvements include a faster pace of content release, an optimized leveling experience, and a more comprehensive Collections UI, among other updates.
Additionally, access to Cataclysm Classic is included with any active World of Warcraft Subscription or Game Time. Players also have the option to purchase the Blazing Epic Upgrade, which offers several in-game benefits. This package includes a Level 80 Character Boost, a mount inspired by Ragnaros, and a Lil’Wrathion pet, among other perks.
The official release date for Cataclysm Classic is set for on or before August 31, 2024, and it requires an active World of Warcraft Subscription or Game Time to play.
