Everquest Is Finally Getting 64-Bit Servers and Clients Next Week

Everquest, one of the first 3D MMORPGs ever released, is finally being updated with 64-bit servers and a 64-bit client next week, after running on a 32-bit client for over two decades.

This means that the game will run more smoothly on modern systems, and players will have fewer performance issues. The update will be rolled out on February 15th.

The downtime for the patch is expected to last around 8 hours and 32-bit systems will no longer be supported by Everquest after the update.
