Explore Port Harmony and Tame Reef Spiders in Shroud of the Avatar’s Latest Update: Release 113
Shroud of the Avatar has released its latest update, Release 113. The update, which went live on April 27th, 2023, introduces new content, improvements, and bug fixes.
One of the most significant additions in this update is the new scene of Port Harmony. Port Harmony is a thriving Tier 8 adventure scene that features a large city with merchants, crafting stations, and quests. It is available to Episode 2 players and is located in Mistrendur, with direct access by galleon from both Novia and Hidden Vale.
In addition to Port Harmony, Release 113 also introduces newly-tameable reef spiders, which players can now abscond with from the beaches of Vikland. These local reef spiders have become used to human presence enough that they can now be tamed. They are currently visual variants of red spiders and have no unique skills of their own.
The update also includes a 2023 Roadmap Update, where the developers of Shroud of the Avatar reveal that they are pretty much on track to keep the roadmap schedule. However, they do mention that they have a delay in implementing Unity 2021. The first phase of their Treasure Map system is currently in development, and they are in the final push to get the in-game scene maps completed.
Other notable additions in Release 113 include the May Day Sale, Release 113 Subscriber Login Rewards, May Login Rewards, and Crown Store Updates. The patch notes for Release 113 also include various crafting, decoration, gear, and inventory item changes, combat and skill changes, and user interface, store information, Inky, and Lua changes.
Players of Shroud of the Avatar are encouraged to review the Player Guide and Known Issues for additional information on recent changes and upcoming fixes. Additionally, upcoming one-time and recurring community events have been announced, and resources such as Players Helping Players are available to help players navigate the game.
