Fallout 76 Once in a Blue Moon Update Introduces New Cryptids and Public Events
Fallout 76 players are in for a treat as the game’s upcoming Once in a Blue Moon update is now available for testing in the Public Test Server (PTS). In a recent post on Bethesda’s Inside the Vault, the game developer shared some of the exciting features and events that players can expect from the new update.
One of the highlights of the Once in a Blue Moon update is the addition of two new Public Events, which will feature new cryptids that players will encounter every 20 minutes. The events include Safe and Sound, where players help the Blue Ridge Caravan repel creatures and defend a damaged Repeller Speaker system, and Beasts of Burden, where players assist Luca Costa in recovering stolen Brahmin and cargo from local cultists.
Over on the live servers, the Mothman Equinox, a returning event that starts on April 25 and ends on May 9. During the event, players can join other Dwellers on the roof of the Mothman Museum to perform a dark ritual and summon the Wise Mothman. Completing this event will earn players Mothman-themed rewards, such as the Cultist Incarnate Helmet and the Wise Mothman Throne.
Aside from the new events, the update also includes several improvements and bug fixes, such as adjustments to Expeditions and their rewards, updates to workbench and mod descriptions, and balance changes for certain weapons.
Fallout 76 players who own the game on Steam can easily access the PTS and provide feedback by joining the Bethesda Studios Discord Server. While progress in the PTS will not carry over to the live game, players can still get a sneak peek of the exciting new content that will arrive in the Once in a Blue Moon update this summer.
