Lost Ark Officially Launches with 15 New Servers and Nearly 1M Concurrent Players

Three armored warriors stand on a cobblestone plaza, each with distinct fantasy-themed outfits. The first wears red armor with spikes, the second has ornate gold and brown armor, and the third is in sleek orange and purple attire with elaborate designs.

It’s been a long journey, but the day has finally come. Lost Ark, the much-anticipated action MMORPG from Smilegate and Amazon Games, has officially launched! To deal with the nearly 1 million concurrent players at release, 15 new servers have gone online.

MMO releases rarely go smoothly but the release of Lost Ark has so far happened with only minor bumps in the road, and after a short delay the game was launched. Currently, select servers are capped for new character registrations, and founders pack owners are also getting an extra set of items to encourage players to move to lower populated servers.

If you’re new to Lost Ark, it’s a next-gen MMORPG developed by Smilegate for PC. It’s already seen huge success in Russia and South Korea with millions of players.

Lost Ark is currently seeing very similar player numbers as Amazon Games’ previous release, New World, and only time will tell if Lost Ark will be able to keep its player base or if it will suffer the same fate as New World.

  1. It had a record number of players at launch, and it was so hard to get into the game during that time. Now many players will buy Lost Ark Gold in order to quickly improve their strength, and the website with better evaluation is MMOWTS.
