Old School RuneScape Celebrates 10th Anniversary with Cake-Off, Livestream, and New Cosmetics
Old School RuneScape, the beloved MMORPG game, is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a special event, new cosmetics, a livestream, and more. The event, designed by Mod Other, is centered around a Cake-Off hosted by Party Pete. Players must help Lumbridge Castle’s new assistant, Patty Seer, after her cake tin breaks and her hat is stolen, to compete in the biggest cake competition Gielinor has ever seen.
Completing the event rewards players with 10 new cosmetics, including a 10th Birthday Cape, Jad/Gnome Child/Stray Dog Plush, and a Birthday Cake Hat. Players can also participate in the Old School’s 10th Birthday Livestream on February 23rd, featuring a playthrough of the birthday event and a Q&A session.
In addition, the game has added Dragon Slayer II to Quest Speedrunning beta worlds, with new completion time trophies for Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum. The game has also addressed feedback and fixed issues with Wilderness Bosses.
The game’s community has also been active, with the Gielinor Games finale of Season 3, Streamer Awards nominations, and the Crack the Clue 3 event. The game’s 10th anniversary is also being celebrated with a new range of merch available in-store, including a commemorative 10th Anniversary logo t-shirt and a silver OSRS variant of the illustrated Map of Gielinor.
Old School RuneScape’s 10th anniversary event will be available until March 15th, so players have plenty of time to jump in and enjoy the celebrations.
