ESO’s Update 37 to Include Screen Narration, Hide Shoulders, and Housing Improvements

The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) is set to release the Update 37 base-game patch, which includes new features and quality-of-life improvements for all players, on March 13 for PC/Mac and March 28 for Xbox and PlayStation consoles. This free update arrives in tandem with the Scribes of Fate DLC pack.

One of the major additions in Update 37 is Screen Narration, an accessibility-focused improvement that enables the game’s menus (with some exceptions) to be narrated to players as they navigate. The narration is computer-generated in the language of the player’s choice, and users can select a masculine or feminine voice and adjust the speed and volume. While some menus and UI elements are not currently supported, the developers plan to integrate additional menus in the future.

Another new feature is Hide Shoulders, a cosmetic collectible that allows players to hide the shoulder gear their character is wearing while retaining gear bonuses. This option is available at the Outfit Station and can be obtained by spending Event Tickets at the Impresario during in-game events.

ESO players can also expect quality-of-life improvements for the Housing System, such as new filters for the Housing Editor’s placement and retrieval tabs, the ability to reset training dummies during combat, and improved home management options.

Update 37 also brings changes and improvements to target markers and daily and weekly reset timers for various in-game quests and bonuses.
