The Pressure Mounts for Activision Blizzard as A Better ABK Announces Strike

The A Better ABK Workers Alliance has announced a strike against their employer Activision Blizzard. Organizers of the strike have also set up a GoFundMe campaign that will work as a strike fund for the wages that will be lost during the strike.

The strike comes after the recent layoffs at Raven Software and resulting walkouts, as well as a press conference where an Activision Blizzard employee only known as “Christine” came with new accusations of harassment within the company.

“Christine” and her lawyer Lisa Bloom presented three demands for Activision Blizzard during the press conference.

1. A streamlined and sympathetic process to provide sexual harassment and abuse victims money from an expanded settlement fund of $100 million.

2. A public apology to Christine and other victims.

3. A review by a neutral third party (not a law firm hired by the company) to investigate “career damage” that employees like Christine have endured.

The pressure is now mounting for real change within Activision Blizzard and to have CEO Bobby Kotick removed.
