The isometric fantasy MMORPG Broken Ranks is set to be released later today, and to get you ready for the game’s rather unique combat system, the developers at Whitemoon Games have shared a blog post explaining the inns and outs of the system.

Broken Ranks have been heavily inspired by RPG classics such as Baldur’s Gate and Icewind Dale, but for the turn-based combat, the devs drew inspiration from another classic, namely Heroes of Might & Magic.
