Embers Adrift, the crowdfunded MMORPG formerly known as Saga of Lucmia, is set to release on October 15th. This was announced by developers Stormhaven Studios over the weekend.

The low-fantasy PVE-focused MMO will launch as a buy-to-play game with a monthly subscription, a model we rarely see in modern MMOs anymore.

There will be a limited-time introductory price for Embers Adrift at launch. If you purchase the game in October, you’ll pay $29.99 USD for the base game and 30 days of playtime. Starting November first, the price will go up to $39.99 USD.

Subscriptions will cost $9.99 for the rest of the year and increase to $14.99 by next year.

Alpha backers will get a head start on October 12th, Beta backers can jump in on October 14th, while the rest can join on October 15th. Embers Adrift will launch with six races, nine classes, and a host of other features.
