The ESO Team Travels Down the Gold Road in Panel Discussion

The ESO team has released a new video titled “The Elder Scrolls Online – Traveling Down the Gold Road.” The video features a panel discussion with key members of the development team, providing insights into the upcoming “Gold Road” chapter of The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO).

Participants in the panel include Senior Community Manager Gina Bruno, Art Director CJ Grebb, Scribing Lead Kira Ross Schlitt, Lead Encounter Designer Mike Finnigan, and Zone Lead Ed Stark.

Key highlights from the video include the introduction of the West Weald area, a throwback to the classic Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion setting, now reimagined for ESO’s multiplayer world. The panel also introduced the Scribing system, a significant addition that will allow players to customize skills in new and diverse ways. Furthermore, a new Daedric Prince named Ithelia, who will play a crucial role in the chapter, was unveiled, adding depth to the game’s already rich lore.

The video also announced the release dates for the “Gold Road” chapter, which will be available for PC/Mac on June 3, 2024, and for Xbox and PlayStation consoles on June 18, 2024. Pre-purchases are currently available, offering exclusive bonus rewards at launch, such as immediate access to the Welkyndstone Ruins Wolf mount.
