New World Update 1.8.3 Brings Legacy of Crassus Event and Various Fixes

New World Update 1.8.3 brings exciting content for players, as Amazon Games has announced the Legacy of Crassus event, which begins on February 21 and will run through to March 7. The update, which includes various fixes to Leaderboards, will cause a downtime that starts at 11:00 PM PT (7:00AM UTC) on February 21st.

During the Legacy of Crassus event, players will have to confront General Crassus’ monstrous captains in a bid to banish the shadow of Roman tyranny. The invading forces have unleashed the cyclopses Lucanus and Decimus, and players brave enough to face them can search for portals in various locations across the world, such as Brightwood, Weavers Fen, Mourningdale, Ebonscale Reach, and Edengrove. Every victory will earn Adventurers event-specific daily rewards.

In addition to the new event, the update also fixes various issues across different game modes, such as an issue that prevented some players from receiving rewards and an issue that allowed players to change equipment while in the Spectator Box.

Other notable fixes include an issue that caused harvestable resources to become non-interactable in certain situations, a bug that caused Mutated Expeditions to receive the same elemental mutations more often than intended, and a fix for an issue with Tamra Ayad in the quest “Dishonorable Daughter.”

Furthermore, the update brings quality of life improvements, such as the locking of items to prevent them from being dropped, and the “Transfer All” button that now ensures locked items remain in the player’s inventory.
