New World’s December update is now live. The patch brings a whole lot of changes and fixes, mostly geared towards end-game content, but also marks the start of the Winter Convergence holiday event.
The holiday of Winter Convergence is upon Aeternum! Marked by the appearance of increased snowfall and Northern Lights in the sky this is a time of dichotomy and duality as the Winter Wanderer and Winter Warrior come to the land. Icy winds and the Winter Wanderer bring with them new armors, weapons, furnishings, skins, consumables, and a delightful “present gifting” emote.
Amongst the changes to gameplay is a revamp of the High Water Mark system which is now called expertise. Several quests have also been tweaked along with combat and AI changes and trade skills.
