Old School RuneScape Introduces Points-Based Combat Achievements System

Old School RuneScape has introduced a new points-based Combat Achievements system, allowing players to unlock rewards through any combination of achievements. The harder the task, the more points players can earn, with each task contributing to their point total. The new system encourages players to take on harder tasks earlier in their account progress, rather than waiting to complete an entire tier. The Combat Achievements interface has also been improved with changes to tier icons and boss models.

In addition, changes from Poll 79 have been implemented, including adjustments to the Abyssal Lantern, Looting Bag, and Trouver Parchments. The Chambers of Xeric now has a storage chest functioning as a bank, and there are other smaller changes and bug fixes.

Old School RuneScape is also hosting a Discord Stages discussion with the development team working on the game’s first new skill. The game is celebrating Free Comic Book Day on May 6th, with a free RuneScape comic available from participating comic book stores. The comic provides early details of the four-part Untold Tales of the God Wars series, scheduled to release later this year.
