Pantheon’s October Newsletter Talks Combat System Improvements, Refer-A-Friend, and the Thrill of Being Chased By Monsters

A vast mountainous landscape with rocky cliffs and grassy terrain. In the background, there's a large, light-colored building with arches, framed by tall, rugged mountains under a partly cloudy sky.

Pantheon’s newsletter for October is out now, and in this month’s issue Chris Perkins, Adam Mostel, and Ben Dean take a minute to discuss the new streaming technology which was announced in the Developer Stream that will make Pantheon “a true, open-world game.”, meaning no zones. Parts of the Pantheon community were concerned that this change would make being chased by mobs less thrilling as a “leashing” system would have to be integrated to prevent mobs from chasing a player indefinitely, but it seems the Pantheon team plans to make being chased no less thrilling.

The newsletter also mentions a new Refer-A-Friend program, and a possible Guild Reward program, along with combat system improvements and a look at what has been done in the last month.
