Runescape Hit Record Membership Numbers in 2020, Bringing in $163M

Jagex, like many other gaming companies, seems to have done quite well for themselves since the pandemic hit. The company brought in £120M in revenue in 2020 which translates to around $163M.

Runescape’s 18% revenue growth is much attributed to the game launching on Steam as well as the Archaeology content update.

In 2020 Runescape hit 1.2M members, and OSRS saw a record-breaking 170.000 concurrent players in the game.

Jagex’s workforce also grew by 10%, adding over 100 new employees to the roster. The company also donated £445,778 to various charities throughout the year.

See the official press release for more info about the record year.
