Star Wars: The Old Republic Returns to Voss with Exciting New Game Update 7.3 “Old Wounds”

Star Wars: The Old Republic (SWTOR) fans, it’s time to sharpen your lightsabers and prepare your starships! The highly-anticipated Game Update 7.3, entitled “Old Wounds,” is now live, offering players a wealth of new content to explore.

Taking the action back to the planet Voss, players will have the opportunity to visit a never-before-seen landing zone named the Interpreter’s Retreat. The update introduces the Shrine of Silence Flashpoint and the next exciting chapter in the ongoing narrative.

The “Old Wounds” story update sees players and their allies digging deeper into the past of the enigmatic Sith, Darth Nul, following the acquisition of his holocron. Unexpected truths will be revealed during their journey. On Voss, players will join the “Shrine Restoration Initiative,” a collective effort with Voss and Gormak members to rebuild the areas devastated by the Eternal Empire’s invasion. The Interpreter’s Retreat offers new side missions and achievements for the adventurers to conquer.

The new Flashpoint, “Shrine of Silence,” takes players into the dangerous ruins of a shrine, where they will aid a Voss Commando in rescuing two missing Mystics. Successful completion of this Flashpoint rewards players with new armor sets and Stronghold decorations. It is available in all modes and can be completed either solo or in a group. While the Flashpoint complements the story in the Interpreter’s Retreat, it is not a requisite to complete the new story content on Voss.

Game Update 7.3 also includes changes to the Credit Economy, Gear Progression, and combat balance. The Tax Evasion Guild Perk has been retired, a new transaction fee has been added, and Vendor sale values on numerous items have been adjusted. Further, the complexity of Gear Progression has been reduced, with the Daily Resource Matrices being removed. Players can find more details on the official website.

A returning favorite, the Nar Shaddaa Nightlife event, is back from July 11th until August 22nd, 2023. Players can try their luck at one of the casinos and score new rewards such as the High Roller Skiff Mount and High Roller Armor Set.

PvP enthusiasts are in for a treat as the new PvP Season 3 “Reign of Glory” kicks off on July 18th. Expect changes to PvP maps and the addition of new decorations and armor sets, like the Sandstorm Soldier Armor Set.
