EVE Online is preparing to celebrate a milestone 20th anniversary with a slew of exciting events and releases. In anticipation of EVE Fanfest 2023, CCP Games has unveiled “Belonging: An EVE Fanfest Documentary” and introduced the music video ‘On Top of The World’ by the newly-formed in-house band, Crowd Kon7rol.

The documentary, “Belonging: An EVE Fanfest Documentary”, offers a deep dive into the spirited EVE Online community. It is produced by The Escapist and filmed during Fanfest 2022. It presents an intimate look at EVE’s signature annual convention and the devoted fanbase’s impact. This is the first of two documentaries, with “The Making of EVE Online” premiering at Fanfest 2023. The latter will detail the evolution of the well-regarded MMO over two decades.

“’Belonging: An EVE Fanfest Documentary’ captures the magnificence of the EVE community,” said Hilmar Veigar Pétursson, CEO of CCP Games. “It’s where in-game alliances are formed or rent asunder, and where the bonds of lifelong friendship are forged or renewed, creating an experience you won’t find anywhere else in the world.”

In addition, Fanfest 2023 will witness the debut performance of Crowd Kon7rol, CCP’s official in-house band. Over 1,000 Capsuleers are expected at the monumental event, which boasts a lineup of VIP speakers, including astrophysicist Mark McCaughrean, “Empires of EVE” author Andrew Groen, and NASA JPL’s Charles “Space Pope” White.

Fans can look forward to another unique launch, the ’20th Anniversary Collector’s Edition’ for EVE Online. In collaboration with publisher Limited Run, CCP Games is creating a boxed set to celebrate the game’s history, legacy, and community. The official countdown to the full reveal is now live, with pre-orders opening on Friday, July 7, 2023.
