Mainframe Industries Secures €20M In Series B Funding Round for Their Cloud-Based MMO
Mainframe Industries, the new studio by developers from studios such as CCP Games (EVE Online) and Remedy (Max Payne) has secured €20M ($22.5M) in their Series B funding. The first round of funding ended at $8.3M, bringing the total budget to around $30M for their yet-untitled cloud-powered MMO.
The funds that were raised in the funding round came from several leaders in the gaming industry such as Twitch Co-founder Kevin Lin, CCP Games CEO Hilmar Petursson, and Dreamhaven Founder Mike Morhaime.
Not much info has been released about the upcoming title that the official Mainframe website describes as “a virtual world that millions will live in, for decades.”
