AION Classic EU Reveals Roadmap for 2023 and Offers Player Rewards After DDoS Attacks
AION Classic, the free-to-play MMORPG, has experienced significant growth following the launch of its European server. Publisher Gameforge has unveiled the game’s roadmap for the EU server, revealing several features coming in the next few months.
After observing the creation of hundreds of thousands of characters and the completion of millions of quests, Gameforge is preparing to roll out the AION Classic EU 2.0 update this summer. This update will see the player level cap raised to 55, allowing gamers to enhance their power further.
New fantasy regions, Inggison and Gelkmaros, will provide fresh locations for players to explore. The update will also introduce eight new instances for both player versus environment (PvE) and player versus player (PvP) modes.
The roadmap for Summer 2023 includes:
- New level cap at 55, featuring additional gear, crafting skill levels, and gathering skill levels.
- New regions Inggison and Gelkmaros.
- PvE instances: Udas Temple, Lower Udas Temple, Beshmundir Temple, Taloc’s Hollow, Upper Abyss instances, and Esoterrace.
- PvP instances: Chantra Dredgion and Tiak Research Base (6v6).
Full details about the upcoming updates can be found on Gameforge’s official blog post, available in English and French.
Additionally, the game was recently affected by Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks. However, Gameforge has successfully managed to address these issues. As a gesture of goodwill for the inconvenience caused, the company is offering freebies to its players. These rewards include free Siel’s Energy, 270 Qunas, and scroll bundles.
